The Driver Comms Pro is our premium earpiece for Motorsports.

Building on our highly reviewed Driver Comms product, the Driver Comms Pro combines 30dB (SNR) of hearing protection with exceptional audio clarity via dual balanced armature drivers.

Delivery & Lead Time

Our standard lead time is approximately 3 weeks from receipt of your ear impressions, but this can be up to 4 weeks during very busy periods.

We also offer a 4 working day express turnaround for an additional £50, if you need your order urgently. This is 4 working days from receipt of your ear impressions to despatch of your order.

We use a next day tracked Royal Mail service for all U.K orders except for some accessories which are sent using Royal Mail 48.

International orders are posted via courier. If you have any specific requests regarding the courier company you’d like us to use, please contact us.
Adjustments & Returns

If you receive your earplugs and are unhappy with the fit or comfort, simply let us know within 30 days of receiving your order and we can make the necessary adjustments free of charge.

If we are unable to rectify the issue after 2 adjustments, we can manufacture a new set of earplugs free of charge, if you supply a new set of ear impressions.

We unfortunately do not offer refunds as all our products are completely bespoke.
Ear Impressions & Ordering Process

If you require ear impressions, simply select ‘arrange an appointment for me’ when ordering above.

Once you have placed an order with us our team will be in touch to organise your ear impression appointment at one of our impression taking partners.

We have over 300 UK ear impression taking locations across the UK (£30 to £50) or you can visit us at our offices in Petts Wood, Kent (£30) or at one of our events.

We can now also offer a home visit service (£50) upon special request. This may be helpful if you are looking for swimming earplugs for your children, as lots of audiology clinics do not offer impressions for those aged 18 or under.

The premium two-way driver system used on the Pro means this model delivers even greater audio detail, improved speech intelligibility and enhanced clarity in comparison to our Driver Comms. Offering 30dB (SNR) of hearing protection, the Driver Comms Pro provides the highest level of attenuation available on the market in a custom communications earpiece. By reducing exposure to damaging noise levels, it helps protect long-term hearing health while reducing fatigue and improving focus behind the wheel.

Built specifically for professional motorsport, the Driver Comms features a durable braided cable, with a Kevlar-reinforced internal construction and a range of connector options including RCA, 3.5mm and a Stilo helmet (LEMO) connector. Available in a choice of colours and cable lengths, every set is tailored to the exact requirements of the user and their communication system.

Material

Unique to Ultimate and our Driver Comms range, these earplugs are constructed of two different compounds of silicone. We utilise a 40-shore silicone for the main body of the earplugs, combining comfort with adequate strength in order to protect and secure the main components within the earplugs. The ear canal section is manufactured using a clear ultra-soft 25-shore silicone earplug to provide unmatched comfort and flexibility for genuine sustained use.

Cable and Connector Specifications

This product is supplied with the choice of an RCA, 3.5mm (Mono) or Stilo helmet connector. The Stilo helmet connector is a LEMO FFA.00.250.CTAC29 push-pull connector, allowing direct connection into the Stilo ST4 or ST5 helmets. We can also manufacture this product with other specialist connectors for Motorsports, please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements.

RCA and 3.5mm connectors are supplied with a braided cable from the connector to the V Loop. Unfortunately we cannot supply our braided cable with a Stilo helmet connector. There is a choice of red or black braiding if opting for an RCA or 3.5mm connector.

Our standard cable length is 50cm, and this is the total length from the earpiece to the connector. Custom lengths are also available.

Our cables are polyurethane coated which stops the cable reacting to sweat (causing it to go brittle). Kevlar coated strands makes our cable extremely durable and we also utilise a four-point anchor system for added strength. The cable exit is correct out of the earplugs, preventing any snagging issues.

How does the process work with ordering and obtaining ear impressions?

You can place an order online, over the phone (by calling us on 01689 876885) or by visiting us at one of the events which we attend.

If you are placing an order online and you do not have ear impressions already, simply select ‘arrange an appointment for me’ under the ear impressions option.

Our team will then be in touch to organise an ear impression appointment for you at one of our 300+ partner ear impression taking locations (additional cost of approximately £40 payable directly to the audiologist).

If you already ordered from us previously (since the start of January 2022) we will have your ear impressions on file (digital copy) and there is no need to post your physical impressions back into us. Simply select ‘I already have ear impressions’ when ordering online and we will match your order details to your existing ear impressions (via your name and email/phone number) which we have on file.

What is the lifespan of your earplugs?

We recommend replacing all of our earplugs with new impressions every 5 years due to the human ear growing and changing shape within this timeframe.

Our SoundEar range is fully serviceable and repairable so if any components fail within this timeframe we can offer a repair service.

Place your order

Choose your Ultimate product and place your order online or by phone. If you need impressions, select 'arrange an appointment for me'. If you already have valid impressions, choose 'I have ear impressions'.

Ear impressions

After purchase, we'll help arrange your ear impressions with one of our UK audiology partners or at our Kent headquarters if required.

Send them in

Post your impressions to our manufacturing HQ in Kent with your order number and contact details. If you have ordered from us previously we will have your digital impressions on file already.

Manufacturing

We manufacture and dispatch most orders within 3 weeks, with an optional 4-day express turnaround available for an additional £50.

Ordering for a business or group?

We offer a site visit service (for the ear impressions) and bulk order discounts for businesses or groups.
