Delivery & Lead Time

Our standard lead time is approximately 3 weeks from receipt of your ear impressions, but this can be up to 4 weeks during very busy periods.

We also offer a 4 working day express turnaround for an additional £50, if you need your order urgently. This is 4 working days from receipt of your ear impressions to despatch of your order.

We use a next day tracked Royal Mail service for all U.K orders except for some accessories which are sent using Royal Mail 48.

International orders are posted via courier. If you have any specific requests regarding the courier company you’d like us to use, please contact us.
Adjustments & Returns

If you receive your earplugs and are unhappy with the fit or comfort, simply let us know within 30 days of receiving your order and we can make the necessary adjustments free of charge.

If we are unable to rectify the issue after 2 adjustments, we can manufacture a new set of earplugs free of charge, if you supply a new set of ear impressions.

We unfortunately do not offer refunds as all our products are completely bespoke.
Ear Impressions & Ordering Process

If you require ear impressions, simply select ‘arrange an appointment for me’ when ordering above.

Once you have placed an order with us our team will be in touch to organise your ear impression appointment at one of our impression taking partners.

We have over 300 UK ear impression taking locations across the UK (£30 to £50) or you can visit us at our offices in Petts Wood, Kent (£30) or at one of our events.

We can now also offer a home visit service (£50) upon special request. This may be helpful if you are looking for swimming earplugs for your children, as lots of audiology clinics do not offer impressions for those aged 18 or under.

The Squidgy earplug has been specifically developed for indoor skydivers, wind tunnel instructors, coaches and regular flyers who are exposed to the high noise levels generated by powerful wind tunnel fans and associated equipment.

Unlike disposable foam earplugs, every pair is individually manufactured from impressions of your ears to create a precise, custom fit. This bespoke design provides exceptional comfort while ensuring the earplugs remain securely in place throughout every flight. Whether you're learning to fly, coaching others or spending hours in the tunnel each week, you can focus on your performance knowing your hearing is protected.

Each pair is manufactured from Ultimate Ear's unique soft, medical-grade hypoallergenic silicone, creating an effective acoustic seal that provides 30dB of hearing protection. The flexible material is comfortable enough for extended wear and is designed to withstand regular use in demanding training environments.

How does the process work with ordering and obtaining ear impressions?

You can place an order online, over the phone (by calling us on 01689 876885) or by visiting us at one of the events which we attend.

If you are placing an order online and you do not have ear impressions already, simply select ‘arrange an appointment for me’ under the ear impressions option.

Our team will then be in touch to organise an ear impression appointment for you at one of our 300+ partner ear impression taking locations (additional cost of approximately £40 payable directly to the audiologist).

If you already ordered from us previously (since the start of January 2022) we will have your ear impressions on file (digital copy) and there is no need to post your physical impressions back into us. Simply select ‘I already have ear impressions’ when ordering online and we will match your order details to your existing ear impressions (via your name and email/phone number) which we have on file.

What is the lifespan of your earplugs?

We recommend replacing all of our earplugs with new impressions every 5 years due to the human ear growing and changing shape within this timeframe.

Our SoundEar range is fully serviceable and repairable so if any components fail within this timeframe we can offer a repair service.

What material are your earplugs made from?

Our Squidgy and Filtered Earplugs are made entirely from a super soft 25-shore medical grade silicone for all day comfort.

What is the difference between your Squidgy and Filtered Earplugs?

Our Filtered Earplugs include a specialist acoustic filter designed to reduce certain frequencies more so than others (with a lower attenuation at typical speech frequencies). Our filtered earplugs offer 23dB or 29dB (SNR) of hearing protection in comparison to our Squidgy earplug which offers 30dB (SNR).

Our 23dB Filtered Earplugs offers much less protection than our 29dB filtered earplugs at lower frequencies (exhaust noise), and are therefore more designed for lower speeds or urban use.

Our Filtered Earplugs are ideal for riders who:

Want better awareness of surroundings
Use an intercom system and would like to continue using their padded speakers
Require reduced wind noise without muffled hearing

Our Squidgy earplugs provide maximum noise reduction and isolation (30dB SNR) and are often preferred for:

Track riding/racing
Very long motorway journeys
Riders wanting the highest level of attenuation possible
Riders not using an intercom system
Protection from low frequency exhaust noise

These are great earplugs. I do alot of wind tunnel (indoor Skydiving) coaching, so I chose the unfiltered ones, and found these really comfortable and effective at blocking out alot of the noise. Ear impressions

After purchase, we'll help arrange your ear impressions with one of our UK audiology partners or at our Kent headquarters if required.

Send them in

Post your impressions to our manufacturing HQ in Kent with your order number and contact details. If you have ordered from us previously we will have your digital impressions on file already.

Manufacturing

We manufacture and dispatch most orders within 3 weeks, with an optional 4-day express turnaround available for an additional £50.

Ordering for a business or group?

We offer a site visit service (for the ear impressions) and bulk order discounts for businesses or groups.
