Ear Impressions & Ordering Process

If you require ear impressions, simply select ‘arrange an appointment for me’ when ordering above.

Once you have placed an order with us our team will be in touch to organise your ear impression appointment at one of our impression taking partners.

We have over 300 UK ear impression taking locations across the UK (£30 to £50) or you can visit us at our offices in Petts Wood, Kent (£30) or at one of our events.

We can now also offer a home visit service (£50) upon special request. This may be helpful if you are looking for swimming earplugs for your children, as lots of audiology clinics do not offer impressions for those aged 18 or under.

The SoundEar Pro 2 is designed for musicians, vocalists and audio professionals seeking the next level of performance from a custom in-ear monitoring system. Combining advanced dual-driver technology with a precision custom fit, the Pro 2 delivers exceptional clarity, enhanced dynamics, and a wider frequency response for a more engaging and accurate listening experience.

At the heart of the SoundEar Pro 2 is a renowned Knowles balanced armature driver system. The sophisticated 2-way design incorporates dedicated woofer and tweeter drivers, allowing each driver to focus on the frequencies it reproduces best. The result is improved instrument separation, greater detail retrieval, and a more natural and balanced sound signature compared to traditional single-driver monitors.

Engineered for wide bandwidth and high output performance, the Pro 2 delivers deep, controlled bass, articulate midrange detail, and crisp high-frequency reproduction. Vocals remain clear and present within the mix, while instruments maintain excellent definition and placement, making it easier to hear every nuance of your performance.

With 30dB (SNR) of isolation the SoundEar Pro 2 significantly reduces ambient and stage noise, allowing safer monitoring levels and greater focus on your mix. Whether you're performing on stage, rehearsing with a band, mixing live audio, or simply enjoying music at the highest quality, the SoundEar Pro 2 delivers professional-grade sound and comfort without compromise.

How does the process work with ordering and obtaining ear impressions?

You can place an order online, over the phone (by calling us on 01689 876885) or by visiting us at one of the events which we attend.

If you are placing an order online and you do not have ear impressions already, simply select ‘arrange an appointment for me’ under the ear impressions option.

Our team will then be in touch to organise an ear impression appointment for you at one of our 300+ partner ear impression taking locations (additional cost of approximately £40 payable directly to the audiologist).

If you already ordered from us previously (since the start of January 2022) we will have your ear impressions on file (digital copy) and there is no need to post your physical impressions back into us. Simply select ‘I already have ear impressions’ when ordering online and we will match your order details to your existing ear impressions (via your name and email/phone number) which we have on file.

What is the lifespan of your earplugs?

We recommend replacing all of our earplugs with new impressions every 5 years due to the human ear growing and changing shape within this timeframe.

Our SoundEar range is fully serviceable and repairable so if any components fail within this timeframe we can offer a repair service.

Is your SoundEar range serviceable and repairable?

Yes, we offer a 1-year warranty (against any manufacturing faults) but we also offer a repair service outside of this period.

In many cases we can replace individual components such as a speaker or the cable.

If a repair is not economical, we will always offer a discount on a completely new set.

A high quality product, great sound, can't fault them

Firstly the presentation is excellent, the hard case is very professional and neoprene wallet is very handy. The finish on the earphones is excellent. I love the cable cover as it is very difficult to tangle. The cable length is just perfect, and long enough to have the audio device in a jeans pocket and not pull on the cable. I’m my opinion the standard length of some IEM/earphone cables are too short for someone of my height (6ft). The little Velcro cable tie is ideal, you just unwrap it and let the jack fall and your IEMs unravel. No tangles to contend with. The fit I have to say is perfect, really snug without any looseness or over-tight, stretched feeling. The isolation is fantastic the best I’ve experienced to date and this is my third set of IEMs. I’ve had two sets of very similar silicone dual driver Sensaphonics and the fit and isolation is better on the Pro 2s definitely. That brings us to the sound… Well, initially I was a bit disappointed with the high frequency (HF) response, but then I remembered that new drivers just like any engine needs a bit of running in. Over the next 3-5 hours of listening the HF’s sibilant splashy characteristic that was present began to drop away leaving a lovely flat sounding set of IEMs. The low frequency (LF) is rich warm without being over powering, mid-range is nicely balanced and natural, and the HF detail is quite spectacular and exciting to listen too without seeming false. I like my IEMs to be very flat as I use them for listening pleasure as well as reference and these make fantastic reference earphones! If there is any EQing to be done I want to do it myself! I’ve turned them up as loud as I dare and I haven’t experienced any distortion, I’m not prepared to go any louder so that’s really good! Over time I haven’t experienced any fatigue and I’ve done a 4 hour stint. The beauty of this type of earphone is that because of the fit, the isolation allows you to listen at any level you desire. Once they’re in and the audio is running there’s no chance of hearing what any one is saying to you. So in summary, a high quality product, great sound, can’t fault them, the attention to detail makes them easy to use and I’d highly recommend them to anyone!
